It's finally here and it's here to stay! As promised, the CEC has compiled a list of acronyms commonly used during meetings and referenced in documents, which is now available through the Intranet's new "Glossary" tab.
Dont wait until the next time you're wondering what someone meant by some sentence in which multiple acronyms are used. Imagine reading/hearing this..."The old DSA, now refered to as the DSP was approved by the ESC to be added to the NOGA". Visit the Intranet today and explore the Glossary and it's neat functions. Feel there's an acronym missing? Send us a line and let us know which acronym it is, what it means, and where you saw/heard it. We'll take care of the rest.
Have new staff joining your team or you are visitng old documents with acronyms that are no longer popular?
Not to worry. Our glossary includes legacy terms and new terms that are annotated to indicate if it's a new acronym based on an 'old term'.
Don't remember the full acronym or phrase?
We got that too. Use the search function at the top to type part of the acronym you're looking for and it will give you a list of the acronyms contaaining those letters. For example, what's that annual report to NIH called? .... type "report" and you'll see "RPPR" will be listed.
What about the At-a-Glance codes?
We got those too. There are two(2) subtabs within the Glossary tab. One says "Acronyms" the other says "BUILD". Click on "BUILD" and you'll see all the codes and even descriptions!
We knew you'd like it! Stay tuned for additional fun and useful tools coming soon.
